Why we garden.
Established in 2019 we have been providing gardening services throughout the goldfields region of Victoria. Since our begging we've been continually improving our skills and knowledge, looking for new and creative ways to make gardening more appealing and feasible to everyone.
Cost of living.
With the cost of living becoming increasingly more difficult many people are turning towards growing their own food. Gardening is becoming less of a recreational interest and more of a necessity. Our goal is to help people become more self sufficient and participate in alternative solutions to help manage the high costs of living.
Crisis prevention.
The COVID pandemic saw major economical and societal disruptions. In the wake of this, many people are starting to recognise the risk of being completely dependent on the large supply chains and are recognising the benefits of growing their own food, some even using their surplus for trade.
Environmental concerns.
Let's not get into the weeds about it. There's undeniable evidence of the significant environmental devastation that's caused by large centralised food production, from the proliferation of GMO seeds to ecological damaged caused from synthetic fertilisers and list is extensive.
Small localised gardening can not only be used to produce tradable items, it also helps to reduce the demand for foods produced at large scale, reducing the environmental impacts.
Supporting future generations.
As our culture tends move indoors and onto our devices it's easy to neglect the importance of gardening knowledge and the examples we're setting for the next generations. We believe gardening is an essential skill that future generations may need. It's also a healthy way to educate the next generations about the importance of the environment, healthy food and self sufficiency.
